The Church of England in South Africa (CESA) of which we are a constituent church is a protestant, reformed, and evangelical denomination committed to the Bible as the Word of God. The basis of our doctrine and teaching is found in the Bible.

Historically, our theological roots originate in the Reformation in England in the 16th century and are spelt out in the “Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion” first published in 1553. We remain firmly committed to this historic Anglican summary of Christian truth Articles. We are also committed to the doctrines as taught in the historic orthodox creeds of the Christian church, i.e. Apostles Creed, Nicene Creed, Athanasian Creed.

We have been encouraged by the way they live out the Gospel in every aspect of life. The Crowded House is a family of church planting networks with a commitment to missional communities and household church. They are identified by a commitment to Reformed, evangelical faith. We partner with the uYesu uNathi Church in Khayelitsha in various ways. Relationships have been built between the congregations. They have enriched our cultural understanding with their vibrant song and dance and we have been able to assist them with leadership development.

Trinity Church is based in the Cape Flats, a poor community that is riddled with gangsterism and drug abuse. It is a small church that has been isolated and needing encouraging friendships.

Over the past few years our teenages have worked with theirs on various outreaches. This relationship has grown and now DCC has become more involved in their ministry amongst the broken people in Mitchelle's Plain.

The churches in Durbanville have a good relationship with each other. There is a growing desire to share our resources in a strategic way. The Gospel has allowed us to concentrate on Kingdom growth without the "turf wars" that are normally present. We desire to work together in serving our community exhibiting a unity in Jesus Christ, despite our different theological backgrounds.
