OUR MINISTRIES

The Great Commission

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

– Matthew 28:16–20

Children's Church
Sundays during the service

We believe that families should worship and learn together, so our kids are kept in the main service initially. They do however, leave for age-related teaching during the service.

Our kids are taught the Bible by our dedicated moms and their helpers, and groups are broken into the following:

4–5 Years
Grade 1–2
Grade 3–4
Grade 5–6

Youth Ministry
Fridays 19:30 – 21:30

We aim to see our high schoolers fully connected to the life of the church.

One of our biggest goals is to help them find their identity in Christ. We desire to equip them to become mature believers, giving them practical teaching from God’s Word.  We meet every Friday night at 19:30 where friendships are encouraged, along with some crazy fun and clear Bible teaching. Our hope is that our youth will grow up in their faith in a safe environment which challenges them to follow Christ with all their hearts.

Men's Coffee
Fridays 07:00

At DCC we encourage the men to be involved in serving, being quick to confess their sins and to take the primary responsibility for spiritually leading their families. We believe that men need to meet regularly with other Christian men to spur each other on.  We meet on Fridays at 07:00 for coffee to encourage each other and just to connect. There are other events during the year where the men meet for teaching and other fun activities to share life as, together, we follow Christ.

Ladies Groups

We understand that there are times when women need to meet without their husbands and children. These are opportunities for women to study the Scriptures together and to receive mutual encouragement. There is an annual women’s convention, a weekly Bible study and a few book clubs which meet each month.

Music Ministry

"Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs."  – Psalm 100:1–2

We are passionate about serving our God and church family through the music ministry.

We love our Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ and we hope that through music we can allow our church family to draw close to God in joyful and united song in reflection of such love.

Music can also be a source of encouragement in challenging times and a reminder of God's great and unceasing love for us.

Our hope is therefore that the words of the songs may also help to imprint God's Word on our hearts and minds, and strengthen our daily walk in faith.

Pastoral Care and Counseling

At DCC we are privileged to see members caring for one another. This often happens through a community group where people are in a connected relationship already.

God designed us as relational beings. No one ought to be isolated. We are all called to care. If you know of someone who needs help in some specific area or a specific prayer, please contact our office.

We also have a team of people who serve others by visiting those who are hospitalized or those who need a home visit for encouragement.

It is through this ministry that we can assist people with biblical counseling. If you need help or would like to serve in this capacity, please contact our office.

Prayer

At DCC, we believe that prayer is vital. Without it, we can do nothing. The elders meet each Wednesday to pray. We emphasize prayer in our service, including praying for our church family around the world. We pray before the service asking God to move in our hearts and transform us by His Spirit.

The first Sunday of each month, we encourage the church to join together for prayer from 18:00–19:00 as we talk to our Father about His mission, our friends, and various needs of the church family. We believe that prayer should be as natural as breathing and a way of life for those who follow Jesus.
